Geography of Cars

Hello this is Lochlann Kavanagh here back with another blog, I hope guys enjoyed the first one as much as you'll enjoy this one, this blog is about cars and where all the different cars come from. The year 1886 is regarded as the birth year of the modern car. In that year, German inventor Karl Benz built the Benz Patent-Motorwagen. Cars did not become widely available until the early 20th century. One of the first cars that was accessible to the public was the 1908 Model T, an American car manufactured by the Ford Motor Company.

There are cars that come from all over the world, I will give a few examples:
  • Bugatti and Citroën are from France
  • Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, and BMW are from Germany
  • Ferrari, Lamborghini and Maserati are from Italy
  • Lexus, Nissan and Toyota are from Japan
  • Venturi is from Monaco
  • Hyundai and KIA are from South Korea
  • Aston Martin, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, McLaren, Land Rover and MINI are from the UK
  • Tesla, Chevrolet, Dodge, Ford are from the USA
At this moment in time the Hennessy Venom GT is the fastest car in the world with a outstanding 435.3km/h. It also costs a shocking 1.2 million dollars.

There are also cars that run on different type of fuels like Hybrid and electric cars which help the environment. Hybrid means that the car uses half electricity and half fuel. Not many of the big expensive cars are hybrid but will be in the future. At the moment only small cars like the Toyota Prius use this system. To try it out first and when sure of it then start using it on the big cars like Bugatti's or Lamborghini. Hybrid cars don't cost that much but electric cars do cost quite a bit, even for the small ones as well as, that you cant go to a petrol station you have to go to a charging port when your electric car runs out which can be annoying and put people mind of buying an electric car. Electric cars also don't make any noise which might not appeal to certain people. Some people would like the big engine noise of a Ferrari or a Lamborghini.

Geographical Football

Hey, this blog is about the geography of football all about where it came and how it spread throughout the world. Football is about three thousand years old. Its a mystery how football spread from Asia to the Romans. There are references that say that soccer was played in ancient Greek and Roman Olympics. As the game of football got more popular it became more noisy and violent. In the 1680s football was primarily authorized in England but there were certain rules to it like any other sport. Then in 1860 the England Football Association was  formed then in 1863 Belgium, 1874 Germany, 1879 Netherlands, 1882 South Africa, 1906 Nigeria, 1930 Congo. Then in 1984, 150 nations joined FIFA. Finally in 2011, 208 nations joined FIFA. Europe is now dominant in world football.

In each country there is a different type of competition for a Cup for example in Africa they have the African Cup of Nations, in Asia they have the Asian Cup, in Europe they have the Euros, in North America they have the Gold Cup, in Oceania as in Australia they have the Nations Cup and finally in South America they have the Copa America also known as the Confederations Cup. These are all national competition's.Here are where all the most famous clubs are situated in the world and as you can see they are around Italy, France, England, Spain, Germany and Portugal where football is most dominant like I said before. Europe also consists of the best and most paid players. Some of the best players of the world in football come from south America even though the south American football league isn't good at all.
